After almost three years, I found this blog. The funny thing is, is that it has been there on my google app block this whole time. Both this blog and my personal blog. So, is this my mind's was of telling me to write?
Well, here you have it. I am still teaching special education. This is my third year in the district I'm working at. No, it is nowhere close to Bondurant and I wish all the time I was back, but I'm not. So here it is, year 3 and I am teaching 6-12 resource. I still battle the same battles as before. Ultimately, I just want all kids to succeed.

Spread the Word to End the Word
This year my students helped lead the way to Spread the Word to End the Word. It may seem that the r-word is not that big of a deal, but to me, that is a big deal. Working with children with disabilities provides a new understanding and perspective of the r-word. I am so proud of the students in our district who not only pledged to end the word but are actually doing something to stop it. Students made a video to pass this message along. In addition to this, they all wore stickers to support the cause. Since then, I have heard students in the hall tell other students that we are not to use that word because it is rude. How amazing is that!
